As usual, I come to a series later than everyone else, since lack of funds and miserable global positioning have put me in a place where my sole source of anime is Cartoon Network.
But for all that, the very first episode of FMA has me addicted. *whimper* Too bad it only comes on every Saturday...
(Yes, this means I will have no sympathy whatsoever for the whinings of people who complain "oh, the dubs suck!" or "OMG, I can't wait for episode 157 to come out" or "oh, damn, I've lost an episode somewhere between thirty and forty! OMG MUST SEE", because I'm sitting here with my ONE LONELY dub episode, the ONLY ONE I CAN GET MY HANDS ON that only comes on ONCE A WEEK, loving Ed and Al and HATING ALL OF YOU. Yes, we hates them, precious. *grump* I swear, half my friends list is squeeing about this anime up to episode 26 or 46 or something, and at the rate I'm going it will be HALF A YEAR before I even get to episode 26. SOJEALOUS ANGRY. ;_; )
And before any of you nice people offer, no, I can't watch it on the computer. I can't download it because I have a Mac, and downloading a three-minute song from iTunes takes about a half an hour. A half hour anime episode would take about THREE DAYS. And someone sending me the episodes on CD probably wouldn't work, either, because my Mac hates all PCs and most of their file formats. *sigh*
Al's dub voice is way too cute for a giant metal golem. o_o It makes me want to glomp him.
EDIT TO ADD: Also, when I say that it would take three days to download an episode--I know some people just leave their computers to download stuff overnight and whatever, but sadly such an option is not available to me. For one thing, we're on dialup and we only have one phone line, so I'd be eating up our phone for three days straight. And the point is moot anyway, because our computer automatically disconnects every half hour unless someone is there at the computer to tell it not to.
