callie_chanI make less and less of these, I swear.
Anyway! As of five days ago, I'm twenty-one. *shifty eyes* Old enough to drink alcohol, which makes it that much more of a shame that I'm of the school of thought that bartenders should pay me to put that crap in my mouth. Also old enough to no longer be covered by my parents' health insurance, which means I need a job with health benefits--either that, or just never get sick again ever.
As of six days ago, I had my wisdom teeth removed--we were kind of in a rush to get it done while our insurance would still pay for it. So I spent my birthday groggy and bleeding--but since this was the sixth time people have cut into my mouth with pointy things, I was hardly what you'd call phased. This was the first time I'd had surgery on my back parts of my mouth and in four different places at once, but actually it was a hell of a lot more convenient than the other five operations at the front ever were. My eating habits are almost entirely back to normal now, I never really swelled up, and I couldn't even get out of being dragged to Easter mass. Oh well.
I've bought and have beaten Metal Gear Solid 3, which against all logic lived up to the incredible hype it got from everyone everywhere. The canon gay made my brother squeal like a pig--in a bad way, for the record--which was worth the price of admission all by itself. >D I want to gush about The Boss with him, but Volgin keeps kicking his ass so he hasn't beaten it yet.
I PINE for Devil May Cry 3, even though it's going to fuck me difficulty-wise; I'm one of those people who plays through on Easy the first few times through a game, and from what I've heard DMC3 makes you beat it on Normal before you can even UNLOCK the Easy mode. And since I've also heard DMC3 approaches Ninja Gaiden difficulty levels, I am going to die. But JESUS GOD the brothers are pretty. *_* And shirtless Dante! And the hacking and the slashing and the shooting! In other words, the game is all but sold to me already.
